Many VET teachers have difficulty ensuring that their qualifications are relevant and current to meet the human resource requirements of the Training Packages they deliver and assess. As a result of this need VETnetwork Australia has endorsed a model for Professional Development that will enable teachers to obtain vocational qualifications in their specific industry.
Speakers at the event will include:
1. Bob Lamb - Manager, Skills First, Training Quality & Regulation, Department of Education and Training (DET)
- The RPL Process
2. Sandra Harrington - VET Consultant
- Professional Development objectives
- The proposed process in relation to Hospitality, Business, Automotive, Furnishing and Engineering
3. Meeting with representatives from the RTOs including:
- La-Vere College – Hospitality Certificate I and II
- John Paul College – Business Certificate I, II and III
